Mat Morgan

Founder | Creative Director

With over 20 years in the audio/visual industry, Mat brings a wealth of experience and a passion for cutting-edge technology. He thrives on creating unforgettable event experiences that captivate audiences. “This is my passion – event technology runs through my veins,” says Mat.

As Creative Director, Mat collaborates closely with clients to bring their vision to life, ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard.

Outside of work, Mat enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter – and when time allows, he likes to head out for a fish.

Melissa Morgan

Administration | Accounts Payable & Receivable

As the administrator behind HDAV, Melissa plays a key role in keeping the business running smoothly. She oversees overall admin & accounts payable/receivable, ensuring everything stays on track behind the scenes. With a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to efficiency, Melissa helps maintain the financial & administration side of the company.

Working alongside Mat, she brings a balance of business acumen and dedication to HDAV’s success. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and making the most of life’s moments.

Stu Finch

Senior Account Director

With over 25 years in the audio/visual industry, Stu has built a reputation for delivering high-quality live sound and video production. From corporate events to large-scale concerts and festivals, he brings a wealth of experience and passion.

Stu’s career began in the late 1990s, and over the years, he has founded and led two successful AV businesses, including Elixir Events Ltd, which was acquired by HDAV in early 2023. His background gives him a deep understanding of both technical production and client expectations.

Outside of work, he enjoys music, travel, and spending quality time with family.

Daniel Costello

Production Manager & Lead Audio Engineer

Daniel has spent nearly two decades in the events industry, working as a musician, stagehand, studio engineer, and accomplished AV technician. Daniel is a detail-focused professional and is obsessive about high-quality audio production. At home, Daniel is a busy father of three who enjoys cooking, drawing, gaming, and playing guitar.

James Thompson

LED/Vision + Event WiFi Specialist

James is a specialist in LED display systems, vision control, and event WiFi solutions, with a strong focus on delivering seamless, high-impact event technology. As a NovaStar Certified Engineer, he oversees the deployment of advanced LED screen setups using gear from NovaStar, Blackmagic Design, and Barco, alongside media platforms like Resolume and vMix. James also leads the planning and execution of robust event connectivity solutions, ensuring reliable performance across diverse venues. Outside of work, he enjoys road trips, family time, and a nice cold beer.

Nathanael Brown

Head of Rigging & Lead LX ENGINEER

Nathanael brings more than a decade of experience across event lighting, sound, and rigging, combining technical excellence with creative flair. Specializing in lighting design and operation, he is highly proficient with consoles including MA2, MA3, and Onyx, and has worked seamlessly across festivals, corporate events, theatre, and live concerts. A long-standing member of the HDAV team, Nathanael is valued for his adaptability and depth of knowledge. Outside of work, he enjoys keeping fit, travelling, and unwinding with a cheeky Hazy Pale Ale.

Brad Jansen

Audio Visual Technician – Video & Audio Systems

Brad’s background in the AV industry spans theatre, corporate, and live events, with his expertise anchored in lighting and visual systems. What began as a passion for theatre lighting design evolved into a career working with a wide variety of event technologies, where he blends creative design with practical know-how. Having been one of our go-to contractors, Brad has recently joined the HDAV team full-time, bringing both fresh energy and proven experience.
